Near the restaurant Starý Majer in the Vrátna valley you can find a farm with various farm animals. In the spring and summer months, children can see them, but also pet them. You will have opportunity to see bunnies, peacocks, hens, pheasants, ducks or sheep. The mini zoo includes also a small pond with trout.
The mini zoo is open for public every year from May till September and it is located in the Terchovská garden of Gold Hotel. You will see rabbits, lambs, goats, hens, geese and both domestic and wild ducks. you may also feed the animals or take a pony ride.
The ranch is located just 5 km from Žilina and it is a popular place mainly because of horse and pony riding in the surrounding countryside. Pleasant relaxation completes a mini zoo called Mini Zverinec with many friends from the animal kingdom. There are sheep, goats, deer, monkeys, llama, but also a tiger and lion. You will never get bored here, because there are many more attractions prepared for visitors to have the best of time.
Right at the car-camping site there is a ranch which offers horseback riding, and visitors can admire sheep, goats, and different types of domestic and exotic birds.
In the game park in the proximity of the hotel Boboty they keep a group of wild boars. To get to the boars closely just follow the path leading right to them. The hotel is not far from Štefanová. Turn left to the main road to Vrátna towards Štefanová and then follow the signposted trail.
