KYSUCE ARTERIAL CYCLE ROUTE

Perfect family trip on the way to the beauty of Kysuce is guaranteed along the newly constructed easy bike trail beginning in Krásno nad Kysucou. After 38.7 km of moderate rise you reach the target destination - the saddle Demänová. Those with great stamina can go on to Oravská Lesná or even beyond the border to Poland. Your trip can be spiced up with the visit of a beautiful lookout on the hill Bobovec, the walk along the educational trail Fojtov potok or the beauty of the Slovak Astronomical Clock.

CYCLE ROUTE ŽILINA – STRANÍK – RADOĽA

Like the previous route, this one also starts in Budatín, in Žilina. The landmark is the center of Teplička nad Váhom from where there is a rise to the peak of Straník. If the hill is beyond your strength, you can simply follow the green-marked trail to Kotrčiná Lúčka. However, the breathtaking view from Straník is worth the effort. After conquering the hill, go back to Zástranie and past a cooperative until you get to Prostredný Vadičov. Through Dolný Vadičov and Lopušné Pažite you finally reach Radoľa. You can take a break at a picturesque mansion and then head for the starting point in Žilina.

ŽILINA – TERCHOVÁ

It is recommended to start the marked cycle route along Kysucká vrchovina (the Kysuce Highlands) in Budatín where there is Považské Museum dedicated to the exhibition of Juraj Jánošík. The route then continues to Kotrčiná Lúčka through Zástranie and Zádubnie. Having cycled through Vadičov and Lutiše, you finally get to Terchová. When in Zástranie, you can enjoy climbing up the hill Straník which is one of the best places for hang-gliding. This route has a combination of all types of surfaces - asphalt, pebble gravel as well as clay.
